Interviewing users to identify pain-points with the existing solution.
Conducted usability testing of the current platform with users to identify UX flaws that cause difficulty in operations and deeply understood underserved user needs for the 2 sets of users.
User 1: Angel Investor

When and why do you use Connexdoor?
When my fund managers ask me to commit, sign documents and pay once I have given a soft commitment (estimate of investment) via Whatsapp after the pitch meeting.
It's difficult to find the startups pitch deck and information on the platform.
I download unit documents once they are uploaded to the platform, I get to know about it through the startup Whatsapp group that the units have been allocated.
User 2: Fund Manager

After close observation, I identified a few pain points.
Uploading a startup profile is a hassle, since the pitch deck needs to be uploaded in single image formats and tagged with page names individually.
Entering individual startup details is done manually. Information is usually available in the company profile of the startup on linkedIn
All the transaction and financial information is difficult to find on the platform, since it requires email search, and the information architecture is confusing, hence we prefer using excel.
We are supposed to take followups from startups on performance reports every 3-5 months, which we sometimes forget and investors keep asking us for startup performances.
Startup documents are in the fund managers personal device, where finding and sorting is done personally. There is no centralised database so that all fund managers can access these documents.
Pitch meetings are held on zoom, the invites are created and google calendars of investors are booked, reminders are manually broadcasted to investors for the pitch call.
